Last night I was (as always) craving sweets. I had some vanilla ice-cream in the freezer but I was feeling like adding some more flavor to it so I thought that some scoops of chocolate syrup on top of the ice-cream would have been perfect!
Chocolate syrup is easy to find in China, one bottle costs about 38 yuan, but it is also very easy and cheap to make, not to mention that the home made one has no preservatives or any artificials so it’s healthier.
Chocolate syrup can be used in blender drinks, for chocolate milk or to dress up fruits and ice cream.
You can keep it in the fridge for about a month!
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder – 65 g 可可粉
- 2 cups sugar – 400 克白糖
- 1 cup water – 1杯水
- 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1茶匙纯香草精
In a skillet heat water and cocoa, stir till cocoa dissolves 在煎锅里将水和可可粉加热直到溶解
Add the sugar and stir to dissolve. 加白糖混合好
Boil for about 3 min. 煮约3 分钟
Then add the vanilla extract. 然后加纯香草精。Let it cool. 关火
Pour into a container and keep in the refrigerator. 把巧克力糖浆倒入到 不育的杯子里。冷藏即可。
