This is a recipe I’ve learned from my mom. It is easy, pretty quick and really tasty. It is an ideal solution for a quick dinner after a long day at work.

You can buy the pork chop at carrefour or even at the Chinese wet market.

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

  • 800 g pork chop – 800
  • 100 g black olive – 100
  • 300 g tomatoes – 300
  • 1 clove garlic (minced) – 1

Cover the pork chop with flour.

In a bowl chop the tomatoes and olives

In a pan heat the garlic and rosemary.

Add the pork chop

Cook from both sides until it gets a nice golden brown color.

Add salt, black pepper, the tomatoes and olive.

Let simmer for about 15-20 min. Serve hot and enjoy! :)

  1. Pork chop!! looks yum.. we have to find a way to let more people know your blog!! otherwise. It is a pity not many people know about it.. and many people are suffering from bad food every day lol

  2. I just cooked, and ate, Olive and Tomato Pork Chops. It was fabulous… tender, flavorful, juicy. My wife wants to relay her gratitude for a tasty meal. She will add it to her recipes.

As for the ingredients I wasn’t sure about how many tomatoes, cloves of garlic, olives to use, so I ended up with two chopped tomatoes, 3 cloves of garlic, and around 25 black olives from a can. Was I right to use a liberal amount of olive oil in the frying pan? I cooked three fairly thick chops from a new meat store near our apartment.

This American expat and his Russian wife are happy well-fed people in St Petersburg Russia this afternoon. Gratzi!

  3. Im really happy that you and your wife enjoyed this recipe :).
About the olive oil yes, you can use a free amount of it, but try not to over dose or the meat would end up fried and we don’t want that! ;) Just use an amount sufficient to keep the meat moisture and soft.
