The inside out rolls, are those Japanese rolls with rice on the outside and seaweed on the inside, just the opposite of normal rolls where the rice is on the inside and the seaweed is on the outside. These one are just a little bit more difficult to make then simple rolls, but not impossible. As always when cooking, practice makes perfect!
I am sure you can do much better than I did!
- 1/2 cup sushi rice
- Crab meat
- Roasted Eel
- Sesame seeds
- Nori (dried seaweed)
Put a Nori sheet on top of bamboo mat. Spread the sushi rice on top of the Nori sheets (get your hands wet so the rice wont stick on your fingers).
Sprinkle some sesame seeds on rice and cover with some plastic wrap.
Now turn it upside-down so that you have the seaweed on top now.
Place 1 tbsp of mayonnaise lengthwise on the rice, the eel, crab meat and avocado.
Roll up the bamboo mat pressing with your finger from the center towards the end of the roll. Press the bamboo mat firmly. While you are rolling it, make sure that the plastic wrap doesn’t get stuck inside your roll.
Cut off the edges then further into bite-sized pieces.
