All I ask in the morning to start my day is a nice cup of cappuccino. I love coffee and milk together! In the winter drinking a hot cup of cappuccino feels nice and helps me waking up and getting ready to start my day! But when the Summer kicks in, with its heat and humidity the only idea of swallowing anything above 10 C makes me sweat!
Until a year ago, for the whole Summer season I had to give up on my morning cappuccino cup! Do you know how difficult it is for me to live without cappuccino for extended periods of time? It’s torture, it’s painful, and sad, and cruel.
But then I discovered this fantastic, unique, over the top milk froth and I’ll never go without cappuccino again!
This milk froth came together (for freeeeeeee) with my espresso machine! What is unique about it is that you can foam your milk deciding if you want it cold, warm or hot!
To get my cold cappuccino I just make myself a strong espresso coffee,
then I pour some milk in the milk froth and select cold
and dahdah, there a i get a super foamy cold milk
I pour it in my cup and sprinkle the top with some cinnamon sugar! Divine!
An other drink I love is the what in Italy we cold Marocchino, a drink made with milk, coffee and cocoa. It is usually served hot, but you can also make it cold for the Summer’s hot days.
All you need is :
- 1 espresso
- 50 ml cold milk
- 1 tbsp corn syrup or liquid sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 30 ml milk
- 5 Ice cubes
Put a glass in the frieezer about half an hour earlier
In a blender combines ice and cocoa powder
pour in 50 ml of cold milk
the corn syrup or liquid sugar
and the espresso
Blend it all for a few minutes
Take the glass out of the freezer
pour in the coffee/cocoa mixture
then, using your milk froth to cold, foam about 30 ml of milk
See how it spins?
Add the milk foam on top and serve!
