Peanut butter + Oreos + Chocolate cupcakes = awsomeness!
Do I need to add anything more to that???
I think I don’t…but I will anyways..you know me, I can’t get to shut up!
I’ve got this idea from a recipe I read online on instractables.com. For those of you who don’t know, www.instractbles.com is a great website where people from all over the world post instructions on how to build things, how to fix things or how to cook things! I love it!
I have a profile there where I periodically share my recipes. My Nutella cheesecake (still remember it?) got a total of 44.278 views…
I’m proud, I’m proud!
Today’s recipe is OUT OF THE ORDINARY! A combination of cookies and soft cupcakes.
A few months ago I already posted an Oreo cupcakes recipe…and that was good! Remember?
It had this hidden oreo bottom
This is good on a different level! You need to try to get an idea of what I am talking about…
I’ll be posting a variation of this recipe, suggested by my friend Marc McAlister, but you will have to wait until next week for that.
Today make this peanu butter oreo cupcakes, please!
Ingredients (makes 12 cupcakes):
- Chocolate Cake Mix
- 24 whole oreos
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
for the frosting
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instractions. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 180 C (375 F) and line up 12 muffin cups with paper liners
For each cupcake cup spread 1 teaspoon of peanut butter over 2 Oreo cookies and stack them on top of each other
Spoon one tbsp of chocolate cake batter at the bottom of each muffin cup
then place oreo stacks
and cover with about 2 tbsp of chocolate cake batter letting it run down the sides of the cookies.
Bake in the oven for about 20 min. Let them cool completely
Meanwhile prepare the frosting by creaming the butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Spread it on top of each cupcake and serve!
This is how the look in the inside…
To die for!
