M&M Vanilla Pudding Pie

DSC_0032

I’ve spent the last 2 days cooking for my cook book. My kitchen is a mess, the floor is dirty and sticky and my back hurts…tho I am ALMOST done with the dishes that I’m going to  include into my book! I’m happy!

When I went grocery shopping this morning I saw a pre-made chocolate cookie pie crust…I got curiose and decided to try it…The crust costed 38 rmb (more than 5 dollars), which I found to be a bit over priced, however it might be something convenient to have at home to make some easy and quick dessert when you have unexpected guests or you are running out of time.

This is how I came up with this 5 min pie recipe. All you need is a pre-made chocolate cookie crust, 1 package of Jell-O vanilla pudding, M&M and some milk!

It was REALLY GOOD! I’m defenitely including this into my “favorite” recipe list.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 chocolate cookie pie crust
  • 1 package of vanilla pudding
  • 2 bags of M&M

Start my preparing the pudding following the package instructions. All you will need to do is to dissolve the powder into 2 cup of whole fat milk, bring it to a boil and stir until it start to thicken. Set aside and let it cool down

Meanwhile chop up 1 package of M&M

and drop them into the pudding

look at what is going to happen in a second….The M&M will start melting creating this magic rainbow!

Pour the cream onto the pie crust

Then drop the other package of M&M on top then refrigerate until firm!

Your pie is ready! I can see how this could be a great dessert idea for your kid’s party!

Variations: instead of the M&M you could use blueberry or chocolate chips. Just space things up as you prefer!
