because I’m on a diet trying to fit back into my lovely jeans,
because last night I had the honor and pleasure to take part to an amazing event organized by Sandy Chu where I gave a short presentation of Expat Cucina to a number of other bloggers in Shanghai,
because chocolate is my number one addiction
and because I love you!
I am going to share with you today this decadent recipe for double chocolate muffins!
Ingredients (makes 12 muffins):
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips + a few more
- 1/4 cocoa powder
- 1/2+1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp baking powder
Start by creaming butter and sugar then add the egg and beat until well incorporated
next up, add the sour cream and mix
In a bowl sift together cocoa, flour and baking powder
then add it to wet ingredients and mix well
Throw in the chocolate chips and stir again
Divide batter into muffin cups
Sprinkle a few more chocolate chips on top
Bake 180 C for about 25 min. Remove from the oven and let cool down on a wire rack
Enjoy with your breakfast coffee or afternoon tea!
