Oh what a weekend it was this past one! First Brawl on the Bund with the boxing fights and the delicious dinner at the Kerry Hotel, then Bob Sinclair at M1NT with his incredible beats and last, but not least, my friend’s birthday on Sunday when we enjoyed an amazing Turkish dinner at Garlic!
I think, with all the food and alcohol I’ve had in the past 48 hours I can easily not eat for the next 7 days…I feel I might explode if even I only drink a sip of water…
Tho I realize you fellow out there still need to feed yourself, so here I am sharing with you today this recipe for making Danish meatballs. I made them a while ago, about 2-3 weeks, but then I got excited posting other tasty grub and forgot about this one.

Ingredients (serves 4):
- 30 g butter
- 250 g ground pork
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 egg
- 150 ml beer
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 40 g breadcrumb
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt, pepper, nutmeg, flour
In a skillet sweat the onion with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Set aside
In a bowl combine ground pork, salt, pepper, nutmeg, 1 egg, breadcrumb and the onion
mix all the ingredients together using your hand or a fork then form meatballs of about 25-30 g each. Coat them in flour
Next up, in a skillet melt the butter and saute’ the meatballs for a couple of minutes
Pour the beer and lemon juice, give it a stir, turn to medium-high and let them cook until all the liquid has been absorbed
Serve immediately with a side of mashed potato!
