What’s better than having a chocolate treat without feeling guilty? Recently I’ve been trying to make healthy food, tho I can still not give up on some sweets, specially in the evening after dinner I need to treat myself with something special: a cookie, a slice of cake, a square of chocolate.
This is why I decided to make something slightly unusual but absolutely tasty and very healthy.
Try this chocolate mousse made with zero butter or eggs but with fresh and ripe avocados. Here is the recipe!
Ingredients (serves 4):
- 2 ripe avocados
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 Tbsp. agave
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ¼ cup milk
Melt the chocolate in a saucepan and then remove it from heat and let it cool.
Cut the avocados in half remove the pits and scoop out the pulp. Place the avocados, agave, milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and melted chocolate into a blender
and process until creamy
Divide into 4 serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (it’s even better if refrigerated
When ready to serve sprinkle the top with some powdered sugar and enjoy
