Fields China Mystery Box Recipe Contest: Pork chops with red cabbage and apple! (Recipe 2)
Here I am today sharing my 2nd recipe for Fields China Mystery Box Recipe Contest to celebrate Fields’s 7th anniversary in China!
The main ingredients are the same as my recipe 1, but in addition to the black pig chops, red cabbage and apples this time I have also used pumpkin and black garlic. In addition to the ingredients in the box, I have added: raisins, rosemary and white wine.
Here is what I did!
Ingredients (serves 1):
- 1 cup shredded red cabbage
- 1 apple
- 2 pork chops, sliced into thin strips, extra fat removed
- 1/2 cup white wine
- salt and pepper
- fresh rosemary
- 1 tbsp apple cider
- 1/2 pumpkin
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 head of black garlic
Slice up the pumpkin, place it on a baking tray and roast it at 200 C for about 1 hour or until cooked
Chop up the apple
shred the cabbage
Slice up the pork chops and place it in ziplock bag with the apples, wine, raisins, apple cider, garlic, salt and pepper, rosemary and let the ingredients marinate overnight or up to 24h.
When ready to cook, place them with the marinate in a baking tray and cook for 25-30 min at 180 C.
Remove from the oven and let it seat on your kitchen counter for 5 min so the juices can set and get slightly thicker.
To serve, lay on a plate the shredded cabbage, place on top of eat the meat with apples and raisins and all their juices and on the side add some pumpkin, garlic and extra fresh rosemary.
