Superfood Green Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowl, what an invention! It is basically a very thick smoothie, made in a blender, topped with whatever rocks your boat and scooped out of a bowl!

In this one I used blueberries, cocoa powder, frozen banana and a dash of cinnamon plus an extra of pea powder to boost the protein content. It made the perfect post-workout breakfast after my morning swim the other Friday.

Here is my recipe 🙂

Ingredients (makes one bowl):

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2/3 cup full fat coconut milk or almond milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 scoop natural flavor pea protein powder
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 3-5 ice cubes

for toppings

  • fresh blueberries
  • dry coconut
  • chia seeds
  • pumpkin seeds

Gather all your ingredients

place them in a blender and process until smooth

Pour into a bowl and top with fresh blueberries, dry coconut, chia and pumpkin seeds

Serve immediately or store into your fridge until ready to eat
