Mean Green Smoothie

A great way to start off the day is with a smoothie. Specially now that weather is getting warmer and sunny days are a head of us!

I love green smoothie, something that is not too sweet, or even not sweet at all. This green smoothie I made for myself the other day calls for NO fruit at all, so it’s super low-glycemic and low-carbs. I pair it with a couple of hard boiled eggs and it made the perfect fueling breakfast for me. You can also add a scoop of unflavored pea protein powder if you like and there you have in a cup a complete meal!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can coconut water
  • 1 cup of chopped kale (only the leaves)
  • 1/2 cup frozen zucchini
  • 1/8 tsp Himalaya salt
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 3-4 leaves of fresh mint
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger

Gather all your ingredients

place them in a blender and process until smooth

serve it up!
