Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

An anti-inflammatory smoothie with beets, ginger, turmeric, coconut oil and coconut yogurt which boosts your immune system and helps ease all the bloat!

Here is my holistic remedy for when I feel bloated and sluggish. As you know, root vegetables are famous for their high concentration of anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Beets, turmeric, and ginger have superpowers when it comes to fighting disease and easing inflammation. Plus all the vitamins and minerals work wonders for keeping your immune system high. The coconut yogurt feels it up with good probiotics, which do magic to your guts and the coconut oil and cashew milk make this smoothie super creamy and delicious.

I used roasted beets, but steamed or boiled will work well too. All you need, besides these bunch of superfood, is a powerful blender!

Ingredients (serves 1):

  • 2/3 cup beetroot, roasted chopped and frozen
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 1 c cashew milk
  • 1/3 c + 1 tbsp  coconut yogurt
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp goji berries

Add frozen beets, ginger, turmeric, cashew milk (or 1/2 cup of activated cashews) into a blender

then add 1 tbsp of coconut oil

and 1/3 cup of coconut yogurt. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth

Pour it into a large glass and top it off with goji berries and some extra coconut yogurt

Heavenly tasty, gut-healing, de-bloating homemade remedy!
