Chocolate Cashew Butter with a Coffee Grinder

Easy Homemade Chocolate Cashew Butter made using a coffee grinder! Vegan, raw, healthy, and delicious!

I have always wanted to make nut butter at home, but somehow always failed at processing the nuts to the right consistency. Tried with a food processor, but that did not work. Used a blender and that was even worse. Then I thought, why not trying using my coffee grinder? So I did, and let me tell you, it gave me the smoothest nut butter I have never been able to make!

Nut butters are a great food to use as a spread on bread, stirred in oat porridge, blended into smoothies, mixed into energy balls. There is SO much you can do with it.



Today I am going to show you how to make chocolate cashew butter!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of cashew nuts (soaked overnight)
  • 1/4 tsp Himalaya salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil, melted

Drain cashew nuts from the soaking water

and place them in a coffee grinder with a salt and melted coconut oil

Blend until smooth

then add cocoa and cinnamon powder

Keep blending until you get a smooth butter and all ingredients are combined

Store your nut butter in jar in your fridge for a few weeks.

Use it into your smoothie, smoothie bowls, porridge, energy balls or whatever else that you fancy
